Voter registration deadline
Saturday, October 24, 2026Applications must be received by a board of elections by this date.
Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1, 2026Nine days of in-person early voting. Each county board of elections sets its own sites and hours; in New York City, each voter is assigned one early voting site.
Early mail or absentee ballot application deadline
Mail or online requests received by Saturday, October 24, 2026You can still apply in person at your county board of elections through Monday, November 2, 2026. Any registered voter can vote by early mail ballot; mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received by Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
